We were going to have Eleanor Roosevelt on the Post today and Dorothy Canfield Fisher tomorrow – but of course we must have Elizabeth Warren today and our new rallying cry – SHE PERSISTED. Now, if we are not saying ‘I say’ (like David Pannick in the Supreme Court, such a useful phrase we find) we shall be shouting, amidst laughter (well, often with a grimace) – ‘she persisted’. We do persist. We shall not give up. We shall persist. To try and uphold the values which we, and more importantly our writers, hold dear. Look on Twitter here for lots of other instances of women persisting.
