Doll’s Hospital 1950. Some of us will remember this (it was behind Hammersmith Broadway) and until recently there was a doll’s hospital in Cambridge. And why don’t they exist any longer? Well obviously because nowadays we throw things away rather than mend them (that was meant to sound a statement of fact rather than acidic, but if a tinge of acid crept in, so be it).
