We publish our three new books for this autumn/winter on Thursday and the new Biannually should start arriving tomorrow in the UK and in ten days overseas. This week on the Post we celebrate the authors of the three new books. First of all RC Sherriff. This photograph of him in 1929, a few years before he wrote Greengates, Persephone Book No. 113, is at the Surrey local history archive. It is organising a one day conference/celebration about Sherriff this coming Saturday: one of the speakers will be the writer of our new preface, Juliet Gardiner, and a contingent from Persephone will be there.
